Course Duration:
Around 5.5 Years (Including Articleship of 3.5 years) after XII th through CPT.
Followings are exempted from CPT; for whom the course duration shall be of 4.5 years.
Commerce graduate with 50% marks,
Non-Commerce graduate with 55% marks (without Maths)
Non-Commerce graduate with 60% marks (with Maths)

About the Course:
CA course is a door to enter into the reputed career and jobs at managerial level with
many big corporates. It requires a lots of hard work, good grasping power and a liking towards practical

subjects.
Chartered accountancy profession is been regulated in India by the ICAI (Institute of chartered accountants of India),
which was set up by an act of parliament and governed under the Chartered Accountancy Act, 1949.
A Chartered Accountant holds prestige in the society and earns handsomely.

Career options:
A CA works on his own practice and do the work of conducting audit & taxation related
services etc. The Chartered Accountants are also required to assess the risks of the companies and designing control
system to counter those risks. And CA also works at managerial positions in the corporates.

How to become a CA:
Those who come out successful in CPT (Common Proficiency Test), IPCC and Final
along with articles (training) and a 15 days course on General Management and Communication skills (GMCS) are
eligible to apply for the membership of the Institute. ICAI has following levels of the course.
